Will I get a refund if I change my mind?

We really hope you won’t change your mind, but if you do, there will be no refund available. Plus… we really hope you end up loving us 😊

LucyLou is the business of Lucy Hercus. Lucy’s a mum to six kids and has been there and done it, like you’re about to (eek!!). Formerly trading under Sydney Birth Support, Lucy has been a doula and childbirth educator the better part of 20 years, educating and supporting couples through pregnancy and birth.

Well aware of the vast array of expertise required, Lucy is happy to defer subject matter to experts who are at the top of their field. In this material, that includes expertise in obstetrics, midwifery, nursing, clinical psychology, medicine, nutrition, exercise and breastfeeding.

Lucy treasures her role and says she’s inadequately capable of expressing this on paper! She acknowledges the space she’s invited in to is extremely intimate in nature. She joins mums, like you… to support and cheer them on to be the best they can be. Lucy’s attended over 100 births and can still hardly believe this is a profession, but knows why it is!

Lucy has spoken to hundreds of mothers in both informal and formal settings and her writing on the topics of pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and early parenting has been widely published.

Over the last 13 years, Lucy has fostered many children and babies and, with her husband Ed, she continues to do so. Many of these foster babies have been drug-affected who require special attention and whose needs are very complicated. Just in case you haven’t realised… Lucy really does love babies and their mums 😊

LucyLou pushes no specific birthing philosophy, but rather is interested in providing you with information so you can make the right choices for you 😊

LucyLou hopes that you’ll see no bias for any particular birthing philosophy. She presents only scientifically verified understandings of the physiology of pregnancy and birth. Her goal is to give you all the tools needed so you are well equipped.

LucyLou supports all types of birth. LucyLou is interested in YOU and whatever your preferences and choices might be and strives to give you information that is non-biased. There’s no judgement at LucyLou, regardless of where or how you give birth, LucyLou recognises it’s all birth!

You will find plenty of reference in this content to hospital practices, however this is purely on the basis that the vast majority of mothers do birth in this context. This is not in any way meant to discourage the practice of homebirth.

In the very sad instance that you experience a loss of pregnancy, LucyLou will provide you with some additional information specifically around grief and loss. Interviews with Clinical Psychologist and women who have experienced baby loss will be made available to you.

We certainly don’t presume that this information will offer you everything you need, but rather, hope it will offer an expression of our sadness here and give some support to you, around a topic that’s close to our hearts.

Please make sure you update your membership dashboard and this information will be emailed directly to you.

There will be no refund for the remnant of the material that you do not require, however, if you choose to embark upon another pregnancy, we would be delighted to offer you a new membership free of charge.

Absolutely. LucyLou will give you all the information you need to know regarding both an elective Cesarean section and emergency Cesarean section. This information is vital and all viewers are encouraged to view this material, regardless of the way they hope to birth.

That’s not a problem at all. You can easily upgrade to the full Pregnancy course from your membership dashboard and you’ll be charged the difference in price between the two courses.

Although LucyLou is developed within Australia, the information provided around pregnancy and birth is very much relevant to international mums too. Note is given, where appropriate, when additional information may need to be sought for those living internationally. Please know, we have done our best to provide information appropriate for all of our mums 😊

Yes, the pregnancy and childbirth education content within LucyLou is relevant, regardless of birth venue.

The LucyLou Mother Nurture content is created and delivered with the most typical pregnancy experience in mind. Multiple birth would be considered non-typical. Whilst all of the LucyLou Mother Nurture content remains valid, a non-typical pregnancy may not follow the content’s schedule as it is laid out. However, if you discover that you’re not having a 'typical' pregnancy, we would advise at this point that you are seeking clinical advice and support that should equip you to better understand the specifics of your body’s schedule.

As with a multiple birth pregnancy high-risk pregnancy is considered A-typical. In this instance, we would lovingly want to encourage you to be seeking more support, not less. LucyLou Mother Nurture’s content we believe will compliment the additional support you seek from clinical providers.

Both our Pregnancy/Childbirth course and Childbirth (only) course will expire 9 months after your subscription is purchased. Don’t forget to let us know how you go 😊
